People have really disappointed me in the past that I learnt to do stuff on my own. I wanted to partner with a web designer but they failed me and that’s how I learnt how to create websites. The long wait from graphic designers made me create my own graphics and the videographer who had too many projects to squeeze ours made me learn video editing. And what about the photographer who failed me? I learnt something that I never liked, photography. It is weird that the very people who turned me down came back to ask me how I managed to do my stuff so well. Or ‘Which expert did you hire?’
I learnt that most people are unreliable, most people will be in by word of mouth but turn you down at that critical time. You become a burden to them through the very things you agreed you should do, stuff that was to benefit the both of you. I made myself from the very things that people turned their backs on. I used the stones thrown to me to build my fortress. So do you just sit back because someone turned you off? Value the people who pull plugs to slot you in. Value the people who create time for you, do the best for you and are willing to work with you. Make yourself, anything your mind can conceive and put effort to can achieve. You do not know the value of what you have until you lose it.
