Inspired Snippet #008 – Constipating Christians

What gives me great satisfaction in life is to post daily on Christian platforms, these include Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp groups. I don’t feel like I have done enough if my day is wasted; wasted in the sense that I have not written anything, not created anything or interacted with the 20 Whatsapp groups that I am usually in.

But it gets to a point where what I do becomes normal, ‘It is just another Silomasays post’. I have in the past been fed up of a specific person sending devotions at 7:00am every morning and most times I would not end up reading them. Suppose I see a notification at 7:00am, I would automatically tell that that is the ‘Morning devotion guy.’

I realized that even as a Christian, I got constipated of the texts that I get because there was too much to take. Our biological systems are made such that we have to output what we input. This is the same case with our spiritual system only that where and what we output is different. I started inputting to others (by sharing and evangelizing) and I found myself needing more; more of devotions, inspirational stories, scripture etc.

Share the gospel with others; people who are on spiritual content malnutrition. Do not be mean with what you intake, you are always designed to output. Heal your spiritual constipation, output to others and you will always be yearning for more.

With Love

I describe myself as simple yet complex, difficult to fathom and a hard nut to crack. I am made of unfailing love, one that sails my boat and oversees my flaws, one that binds me not on any law but nourishes my soul. I write from my soul, generally anything I feel I need to get off my chest most of which is based on my own life experiences, talents, and passions.
