I am not a Christian because I was brought in a Christian home, neither am I because my pastor or my church instills me to be one. My breaking moments never made me one. Neither did my long-time sickness, my lost wealth nor loved one made the relationship I have with Christ.
Fear of hell doesn’t make me a valiant soldier in His army. The fact that I want a good life isn’t reason enough for me to believe. I don’t go to church because it is the right thing to do or because other Christians are going. The yearn to interact with Him, the unquenchable thirst of bowing down in worship and the burning desire to be in His presence make me a Christian. Christianity is not a communal routine faith but a personal relationship with Christ, for the right reasons.
M633 – Seek ye first the kingdom and all things shall be added unto you, but what things? All things that pertain to LIFE and GODLINESS which come with no PAINFUL TOIL. What then do we have to say in accordance to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Isn’t it our very own selves? So, why are you a Christian? Are you a Christian for the right reasons?
